Scores killed as rival bandit gangs face each other in Katsina

Bandits raid Katsina village, abduct 15 women

Not less than 20 bandits including top leaders and their foot soldiers have reportedly been killed as rival bandit gangs clashed in a territorial battle in Katsina State.

According to counter-security expert, Zagazola Makama, the clash which also left many of the bandits wounded, occured in the early hours of Wednesday in the Dan-Ali community of Dan-Musa Local Government Area of Katsina.

In a post on X, Makama said:

‘In the early hours of today, a fierce clash erupted between Mai Nore’s gang and the Buzaro terrorist group in the Dan-Ali area of Dan-Musa Local Government Area, Katsina State.

“Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the confrontation resulted in heavy casualties on both sides, with more than 20 bodies reportedly left at the scene.

“Other eyewitnesses described the battle as intense, with prolonged gunfire echoing through the area.”
