Senate confirms 7 ministerial nominees
The Senate on Wednesday confirmed seven ministerial nominees appointed recently by President Bola Tinubu.
The president last week sacked five ministers and nominated seven new ones to fill the positions in the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Those confirmed at Wednesday’s session are the Bianca Odimegwu-Ojukwu (Foreign Affairs), Nentawe Yilwatda, (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation), Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi (Labour and Employment), Yusuf Abdullahi Ata (Housing and Urban Development) and Jumoke Oduwole (Trade and Investment).

The rest are – Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Llivestock Development) and Suwaiba Said Ahmad (Education).
The nominees in their presentations spoke on how they would carry out their new assignments for the good of the country.
In his remark, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, expressed delight at the quality of the nominees.
He said: “I think Mr. President took his time in selecting these ministers that will serve in the Federal Executive Council.”
