Seven die in Niger auto crash
At least seven persons died in auto crash along the Bida-Mokwa Road in Lavun local government area of Niger State on Monday.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kutigi Command said in a First Information Report (FIR) on Wednesday a Toyota Corolla car and a white Jack truck were involved in the crash which occurred at 6:09 p.m., on the highway.
According to FRSC, the truck was traveling from Lagos to Abuja, while the Toyota Corolla was heading to Kutigi.
“A total of nine persons – four males and five females – were involved in the accident.

“Unfortunately, seven people, including two males and five females lost their lives in the accident.
“The cause of the crash was attributed to speed, loss of control, and dangerous driving.
The remains of the victims were taken to the General Hospital, Kutigi for confirmation and later handed over to their relatives for burial,” the report stated.
