Singer Tems explains why she is not a big fan of mobile phones
Sensational Nigerian songstress Temilade Openiyi, popularly known in music circles as Tems, has explained why she is not the biggest fan of mobile phones.
The ‘Damages’ crooner, who opened up in an interview with Glamour Magazine, said that she prefers to live in the world and have beautiful experiences.
She stated that if she has the smallest excuse to leave her phone in the drawer, she will take it every time; however, she gives kudos to her management and family for keeping her grounded.
Tems said, “I don’t like my smartphone anyway. I prefer to live in the world and have experiences. If I have even the smallest excuse to leave my phone in the drawer, I’ll take it every time. I would say that it is both my management and my family that keeps me grounded. Especially my family, my mother, and my brother.
“In the end, you have to manage to stay present, be aware of yourself, and take care of yourself,” she added, highlighting the significance of being in the moment. ‘‘The only way to develop is to continuously discover new perspectives and reevaluate your life. There is nothing in my life that I would change.’’
