Speed Darlington’s lawyer voices frustration over singer’s continued detention
Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing musician Speed Darlingon has taken to social media to express his frustration over the continued detention of his client.
The attorney who expressed his discouragement in a post shared on his Instagram page lashed out at his continued detention by the Nigeria police despite a high court granting him bail.
“Yesterday marked 31 days in detention. People are saying, ‘stop the emotional blackmail, advise your client.’ Let’s move on from that because those arguments are nonsense; this could happen to anyone,” Alieke stated.

He added that he was disappointed by the absence of backing from well-known individuals, comparing it to an earlier instance in which Burna Boy helped.
“I’ve exhausted my connections; no one wants to help Speed Darlington. The first time he was arrested, Burna Boy showed up with his team and handed out bundles of cash to the police officers,” he revealed.
