Super Eagles make progress in FIFA world ranking

Nigeria senior men’s football team, the Super Eagles have climbed three spots in the latest FIFA men’s world ranking.

The ranking, released on Thursday, October 24 on FIFA’s website, saw Nigeria move from 39th spot to 36th best in the world

In Africa, the Super Eagles also moved up from sixth to fourth position, behind only to Morocco in 13th place in the world, Senegal in 20th, and Egypt in 30th.

Meanwhile, World Cup champions, Argentina are still on top of the world rankinh, but their lead over France in 2nd spot, and Spain in 3rd spot, has been cut.

England ranks 4th, Brazil 5th and Belgium 6th, and they all have held onto their positions.

Portugal ranks 7th, and Italy are 9th. The Netherlands fell to 8th spot and Colombia to 10th, while Germany climbed to 11th.

The next FIFA world ranking will be published on November 28, 2024.
