Suspected bandits abduct Kaduna village head’s wife, children

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday night abducted the wife and two children of the head of Galadimawa Village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Alhaji Aliyu Haruna Galadimawa.

The victims – Fatima Aliyu (wife), Abdullahi Aliyu (son), and Kamal Aliyu (son) were abducted at 11:30 p.m., by the bandits who stormed the community with sophisticated weapons and shot their way into the victims’ home.

Residents told journalists on Wednesday the attackers came specifically to abduct the village head but he was not at home at the time of the incident.

The spokesman for the state police command, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incident.

He, however, promised to provide details on the attack later.
