Suspected herdsmen kill 7 in Benue community
Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen killed seven persons in Naka community of Gwer West local government area of Benue State on Tuesday.
Several people were injured in the attack which occurred early in the morning.
Residents told journalists the attackers stormed the area on motorcycles at about 5:00 a.m. and shot sporadically to scare the residents who were still sleeping at the time.

They also released their herds to graze freely on farmlands and destroy crops.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident.
