Suspected thugs set ablaze two local council secretariats in Rivers (Video)
Suspected political thugs on Monday set ablaze two local council secretariats in Rivers State.
The affected secretariats were that Eleme local government area and Ikwerre LGA.
This followed the inauguration of new council chairmen by Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Sunday.

The hoodlums stormed the secretariats in large number and, vandalised property and setting the buildings ablaze.
Before the set the secretariats on fire, the thugs vowed to stop the newly elected officials from accessing the office.
Heavy gunfire was reported in some parts of the state on Sunday as tension over the conduct of last Saturday elections in 23 local councils continued to envelop the state.
