Swazi coach: Eagles’ formation disrupts our game
In from Nifemi Daniel . . .
Swaziland coach Harris Bulugna has attributed his team’s 2-0 lost to Nigeria to the tactical change by the Super Eagles’ team formation.
Two second half goals from Moses Simon and Efe Ambrose gave Nigeria the ticket to the group stage of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Speaking after the match in Port Harcourt, Bulugna said, “(Oliseh) was smart enough to make some chances (and this affected what) we hoped to capitalize.”

“For example, the midfield was very slow in the first leg so we wanted to capitalize on that but he changed (his tactics) and put in (Paul Onobi instead of John Mikel Obi in that position) and it affected our whole set up.”
He added that the Eagles’ midfielders frustrated his team’s game plan.
“(This is) because (Onobi) was aggressive, he was quick…also the left and right backs were new players that we didn’t expect to play (on Tuesday).
“We saw weaknesses in the Nigeria team in the first leg unfortunately, the coach made changes and there was nothing we could do about it,” he said.
