Teenager Driven by Covid-19 Hardship Absconds with Master’s N5m, Declared Wanted
In a distressing turn of events, a teenager, Ibidokun Damilare Paul, has been declared wanted after allegedly absconding with a substantial sum of money from his employer. The incident, fueled by the economic strain induced by the Covid-19 pandemic, has sent shockwaves through the community.
It was gathered that the incident took place at the employer’s branch office in Lagos State. And the boss who stormed the office from his branch in Delta State, after he got wind of the incident has vowed to explore every avenue to ensure Ibidokun is apprehended and made to face the law.
He revealed that the 15-year-old who was employed as a house help hails from Adanla in ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State
Reports indicate that Ibidokun, facing dire financial circumstances exacerbated by the ongoing health crisis, succumbed to desperation and allegesly appropriated about N5 million belonging to his employer. The young man, entrusted with responsibilities by his employer, is said to have abused the trust placed in him, leaving behind a sense of betrayal and disbelief.
The theft has left the employer, whose identity remains undisclosed, reeling from the financial loss and grappling with the repercussions of Ibidokun’s actions. Authorities say an investigation has been launched into the matter, with Ibidokun now being actively sought by law enforcement agencies.
