Tesla to deploy humanoid robots next year —Elon Musk

American businessman and investor, Elon Musk has announced that Tesla will develop “genuinely useful” humanoid robots, which will begin working in its factories next year.

On Tuesday, Elon Musk asserted his social media site, claiming that the electric vehicle manufacturer wanted to increase production and begin supplying the robots to other companies in 2026.

Musk stated in a post on his X platform, formerly Twitter, that he wanted to grow into “high production” mode in 2026, making human-like robots available for sale to other companies.

‘‘Tesla will have genuinely useful humanoid robots in low production for Tesla internal use next year and, hopefully, high production for other companies in 2026,’’ Musk wrote on his X page.

Recall that Musk stated in April that Tesla’s robot Optimus might go on sale as early as the end of 2025 and would begin performing plant duties by the end of the year.

This year, the company posted a video of its second-generation bipedal robot deftly folding a T-shirt at its offices.
