‘The faceless buffoons have failed,’ Kanu’s wife, Uchechi slams IPOB political wing

Wife of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, Uchechi, has descended hard on an alleged group known as IPOB-Political Wing (IPOB-PW), calling the group a sham that does not speak for her husband.

In a post on her X handle @OkwukKanu on Tuesday, Uchechi described the splinter group as “faceless buffoons” who should know they have failed in their mission of causing division within the ranks of IPOB.

She was reacting to the splinter groups’ claim that Kanu had authorized it to open negotiations with the Nigerian government on the future of South East Nigeria.

According to IPOB-PW, Kanu has made the request through proxy meetings with people who have spoken to him in detention.

Spokesman of the group, Emereonye Nwachukwu, in a statement earlier on Tuesday, said the move followed a recent call by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, for Kanu to be released.

While reacting to the statement by Nwachukwu, Uchechi posted on X:

“Who are these faceless fools? What is and who are the people behind this sham called IPOB-PW?

“Be aware that IPOB–PW is a hoax and does not speak for #NnamdiKanu or #IPOB.

“#IPOB does not have any other branch. It is only one #IPOB all over the world – One Family.

“#NnamdiKanu has said it in court but one of the traits of the wicked which is being daft, does not allow them to reason.

“The faceless buffoons behind this IPOB-PW should know they have failed. Ndị ara.”

In a follow up post late Tuesday, Uchechi also had this to say:

“It’s another Tuesday where we synchronously raise our voices in the quest for freedom and self preservation and for the release of Mazi #NnamdiKanu.

“Yesterday, Nnabuikem’s Christmas wishes still remained to have his father freed, for the world to have peace and this time, for Biafra to become an independent country.

“A deep thinker he has always been but meeting with his father during the summer holidays broadened his deep thinking and logical skills.

“This morning, I received an update from my father who visited my husband yesterday.
Every true Biafran who abhors injustice, in their capacity, is doing all they can to facilitate the #FreedomofNnamdiKanu.

“By Thursday, there will be an update on #NnamdiKanu’s health status accompanied by a brief explanation of what it is via Change.org.

“Let’s hit the petition to 10,000 signatures so we can have a debate on #NnamdiKanu’s freedom in the UK Parliament.

“To those who have signed, thank you!! To the gossip gangs in their coven of gossip, have you signed?

“To those who have not signed but their profile picture carries the face of #NnamdiKanu while they attack his legacy (#IPOB), his wife and children, working to destroy #NnamdiKanu’s structures.”
