Three police officers die in Ondo auto crash
Four persons, including three police officers, died in an auto crash in Ore, Odigbo local government area of Ondo State on Thursday.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Samuel Ibitoye, who confirmed the incident on Friday, said the operatives who were attached to the police monitoring unit in Ondo State were on a mission to arrest a suspect when the accident occurred.
He said was caused by a trailer driver who lost control of the wheel, crossed the median, and rammed into the police van.

The spokesman added that the remains of the deceased have been deposited at a mortuary in Ore.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, also confirmed the incident.
She said the state police command had commenced an investigation into the crash.
