Timi Dakolo shares opinion on artists creating music only for their fans
Nigerian gospel cum R&B singer Timi Dakolo has shared his opinion on the debate surrounding artistes creating music primarily for the pleasure of their teeming fans.
Dakolo who shared his perspective in a recent podcast stated that one must be able to enjoy and digest what he creates before dishing it out to others who will consume it.

The husky-voiced singer emphasized that his top priority is creating music he loves. He also said that eventually, audiences will come to appreciate what he has to offer.
“You are the first person to play it, the idea is yours, the motivation was yours, and the core of it was presented to you so the first person that encounters that idea is you. If you’re doing it for people then you are missing the whole point.
‘‘A good product convinces the people. It speaks louder than asking people to come and hear your music. If the product is good people will embrace it.” He noted.
