Tinubu appoints ex-Atiku’s spokesman, Daniel Bwala as media aide

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication.

The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

The statement read: “The Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media, Mr. Daniel Bwala is a lawyer and notable public affairs analyst.”

Bwala was a spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council in the 2023 election where he criticized the president and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the days leading to the poll. 

He later held private meetings with the president within and outside the country where he declared his support for the current administration’s policy initiatives.

He also confirmed his return to the APC.
