Tinubu creates ministry of livestock development to address farmer-herdsmen disputes

President Bola Tinubu has approved the creation of the ministry of livestock development in the country. 

The president also inaugurated the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform. Committee to address the perennial problem of herdsmen and farmers disputes in the country.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, disclosed this to State House correspondents when he led members of the committee to a meeting with the president in Abuja. 

He said the move was one of the recommendations made the president in September last year to address the conflicts between herders and farmers, especially in the North-Central where thousands of people have been killed since 2018.
