Tinubu reappoints Mustapha as biotechnology research agency DG

President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha as the Director General of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NBRDA) for another term of five years.

The Press Secretary to the NBRDA boss, Toyin Omozuwa, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.

The statement read: “Mustapha’s second tenure is with effect from 31st October 2024 and is in line with the provisions of Section 10 (1) and (3) of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (Establishment) Act, 2022.”

Mustapha, a Professor of Bioinorganic Chemistry, was first appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
