Tinubu requests Senate confirmation of three CCB Board nominees

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday requested the Senate confirmation of three persons as members of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) governing board.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the president’s letter at the plenary in Abuja.

President Tinubu had on Tuesday nominated the trio of Mr. Fatai Ibikunle, Mr. Kennedy Ikpeme, and Justice Ibrahim Buba as members of the CCB board.

The president in the letter said the confirmation of the nominees was in accordance with the provisions of Sections 154(1) and paragraphs 1(a) and (b) of Part 1 to the Third Schedule of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

The letter read: “While I hope that the senate will consider and confirm the nominees in the usual expeditious manner.

“Please accept, Distinguished Senate President, the assurances of my best regards.”
