Tinubu travels to Saudi Arabia for Joint Arab-Islamic Summit on Sunday
President Bola Tinubu will leave the country on Sunday for Saudi Arabia, where he will attend the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit.
The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
He said President Tinubu is attending the summit at the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The conference will start in Riyadh on Monday with a focus on the Middle East crisis.
The president will be accompanied on the trip by two ministers – Yusuf Tuggar (Foreign Affairs), Mohammed Idris (Information and National Orientation), National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, and the Director- General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Mohammed.
The statement read: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, which will focus on the current situation in the Middle East.
