Tongues wag as Nigerian billionaire, Emeka Offor buries father in golden casket
Many who gathered at All Saint Anglican Church, Irefi Oraifite, Anambra, on Friday, November 18, to pay their last respect to the father of one of their prominent sons were left in awe on sighting the pure gold casket bought by Nigerian billionaire Emeka Offor for the burial of his late father.

The sight of the gold plated casket left many present at the burial and beyond to question the rationale behind such a purchase especially at a time when many are reeling from the prevalent economic recession in the country.
The story reminds many of a runour on social media of another Nigerian billionaire based in Enugu who buried his mother in a brand new Hummer Jeep while also splashing the sum of $10,000 in the ground where his late mum was buried.

This man must be a fool for doing this. There are so many people on the streets with no job, some with no food and he buried his father with a golden casket, I’m not sure God will be happy with this. The casket will not be valued once it’s in the ground, so why waste money on such luxury.

He is not a fool. He depicted who he is.a billionaire not millionaire. So he feels that is the best way to honour his late father.

I’m confused here. Should I say he’s happy for his father’s death or he wanted the whole world to know he’s indeed a billionaire? I think this is madness

The fast guys know what to do. That casket won’t last a week under the ground. Nobody sees gold and let it go just like that!

This is arrant nonsense. Burying his father with the golden casket doesn’t guarantee his father heavenly welcome. May be the man is even burning in hell.

Emeka is really a foolish man because is only a foolish man that does such a thing by burieing is father. mother or anybody in a golden casket instead of him praying for his father soul to make heaven at last

Emeka want to tell the world that his father is so pracious to him. With the way he buried his father that shows he never took care of his father until his death.Because if he did he will not think of this norses as casket gold
