Trossard, Partey fire Arsenal to victory against Villa
Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey were on target as Arsenal secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday night.
In a dramatic goalkeeper duel, Arsenal’s David Raya made a crucial save from Ollie Watkins to keep the score level, while Emi Martinez’s mistake allowed Partey’s shot to slip through, giving the Gunners a crucial two-goal lead.
Mikel Arteta’s side took full advantage to go ahead after 67 minutes, substitute Trossard scoring with his first touch after replacing Gabriel Martinelli.

Partey increased Arsenal’s lead 10 minutes later to seal a triumph against a side who tarnished their aim for the title last season.
As it stands, Arsenal, Manchester City and Brighton are on two wins from two matches in the Premier League and thus are top of the table.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle will all be in action on Sunday.
