Published

on

In what seemed a renewal of massacres in that region of the country, scores of people were feared dead this afternoon as twin blasts went off at the Kano GSM market.

Though details are still sketchy, reports indicate the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted close to the generator serving the market, while the second bomb went off at the heart of the market, located in Nassarawa GRA area.

Though the number of people killed is yet to be ascertained, the explosions went off during the late afternoon prayers triggering pandemonium within the vicinity.

The blasts are coming less than 24 hours after another blast rocked a motor park in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, after what has been seen by many as a long period of major inactivity by the terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
