UCL: Man City, Inter play goalless draw as PSG snatch late win

Manchester City and Inter Milan played goalless draw in their opening game of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Both sides had chances but could not convert any.

In France, Paris St-Germain snatched a late winner against La Liga side Girona as they secured a 1-0 victory to begin their continental campaign.

It was a 90th-minute own goal by Paulo Gazzaniga that separated the two sides.

Elsewhere, Dortmund defeated Club Brugge 3-0, with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens netting a brace while Serhou Guirassy scored a late third from the spot for the visitors.

Sparta Prague marked their return to the Champions League after almost 19 years with a thumping 3-0 win over Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

In the other Champions League matches played on Wednesday, Celtic thrashed Slovan Bratislava to boast 100% record in all competitions so far this season, while Bologna and Shaktar Donetsk played a goalless draw.
