Social media activist Vincent Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has arrived at Ikeja High Court in pomp and pageantry to hear a defamation lawsuit against him.

VDM’s supporters cheered him on as he appeared at the court on Thursday dressed in Edo regalia.

The controversial social media personality who gained mainstream attention in 2022 following his associations with Nigerian celebrities is being sued for defamation by Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) and his son, Folarin, also known as Falz.

Recall last month that the Lagos State High Court’s Justice M. O. Idowu issued the standing order for VDM to take down defamatory posts targeted at Femi Falana and his son Falz, after ruling that his writings were detrimental to their public image and reputation.

According to Justice Idowu, the posts shared by Very Dark Man on his social media pages on September 24, 2024, relating Bobrisky to Falz and his father, were damaging to their reputation and libelous.
