The controversial blogger, Martins Otse VeryDarkMan, has berated a member of the Federal House of Representatives for Aba North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State, Alex Ikwechegh, over an alleged assault of an Uber driver in Abuja.

He also petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and demanded actions against the lawmaker.

In the petition signed by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, the social media personality petition accused the lawmaker of abuse of power, assault, attempted murder, and threats to life.

Ikwechegh was seen in a video posted on social insulting the driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, after the latter asked him to pick up a delivery at his residence in the nation’s capital.

He threatened to beat up the driver and thereafter lock him up in his generator house

The lawmaker also threatened to make the driver “disappear without traces.”

“Do you know who I am?

“Can you imagine this rat, I can make him disappear in Nigeria and nothing will happen.

“I will not even call my police. I will beat you up myself and lock you in my dogs’ house.

“I’ll beat you up and lock you in my generator house. I will make you disappear in the whole of Nigeria. Call IGP, record me,” he roared.

Ikwechegh had since been quizzed over the incident and detained operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command at the divisional headquarters in Maitama
