Very Dark Man reacts to threat of lawsuit from the Falanas
Social media influencer cum blogger Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted to Femi Falana’s threat to action civil proceedings against him if he fails to retract and apologise for denting his image in public.
Recall that Femi Falana threatened to sue VDM for defamation of character after he released an audio recording of what was allegedly a conversation between Bobrisky and another man. Falana was allegedly assisting Bobrisky in obtaining a presidential pardon, and he requested ten million Naira to complete the task.
The senior lawyer reinforced his demand for an apology and a retraction from Very Dark Man on Thursday in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
Falana threatened civil proceedings in the high court if Very Dark Man failed to do the needful and also noted during the interview that he aims to set a precedent, ensuring that individuals cannot recklessly defame others on social media.
Very Dark Man has now replied to Femi Falana in a video shared on Instagram where he said that if he is served a letter to appear in court, Bobrisky must also be served a letter.
He argued that Bobrisky must also be summoned because he made the allegations against the Falanas in the viral audio tape he released to the public.
VDM stated that while the Falanas’ legal action against him does not bother him, he is currently more worried about the systemic corruption occurring in public institutions.
