According to a statement issued on Wednesday by Abdullahi Muhammad, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the governor made the call at a workshop organised by the ministry for local council officials in the state.

Represented at the event by his deputy, Mallam Mani-Mummune, the governor said the involvement of traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders in the management of the local government would foster growth and development at the grassroots.
