Channels Kids Cup enters semi-final stage

Osun and Kogi states have qualified for the semi-finals of the on-going Channels National Kids Cup.

St. James Government Primary School, Oshogbo beat the only surviving Lagos representative, National Primary School, Yaba 5-0.

Qua-Iboe Primary School, Kogi defeated Jankawa Primary School, Nasarawa State 5-3 in an entertaining match played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Kaduna State and Edo State have also advanced to the semis of the channels national kids cup.

Similarly, LGA Mohammed Kabir Primary School, Kaduna beat former champions Nana Primary School, Delta by a lone goal to book their place in the final four with Chigiebube James scoring the only goal to take his goal tally to eleven.

Also, Arinze Primary School, Benin city edged out Focal Point Primary School, Ilorin 2-1.‎ The boys from Ilorin were awarded two penalties but failed to convert the chances.

The semi-final fixture will see Osun battle Kaduna while defending champions, Edo ‎will take on Kogi on Thursday May 26 at the same venue.
